What the Brady Bunch Can Teach Us
Remember that one Brady Bunch episode where BobbyBrady was so upset about being short that he decided he
was going to make himself taller. He figured that if he hung from the swing set by his two hands he would stretch himself, thereby making himself taller.
First he measured himself on a wall and put a piece of tape where the top of his head was to mark his starting
height. He'd go out in the backyard, hang for a bit and then come back inside and re-measure himself. He did this a number of times and, lo and behold, after each hanging sessiong he'd actually was getting taller. The proof was that the peice of tape that marked his starting height was getting lower. It was working, he was getting taller.
Well, turns out poor Bobby wasn't actually getting any taller, but rather the other Brady kids were moving the tape down the wall because they felt bad for him. Not a well-thought out plan on their part, though, as eventually he'd probably figure out that while he might've been getting taller so was everybody else in the world too since the relative heights stayed equal.
As far as Bobby's reasoning went, it seemed a little absurd at first, thinking you could stretch yourself into getting
taller. But can you make yourself taller. Was BobbyBrady completely misguided in his quest for height. Not entirely.
See, there are certain exercises we can do to strengthen the supporting muscles we have, such as those around the spine and the core, which will lenghten our body. By doing these elongating and lengthening exercises, we can actually make ourselves a little taller. This is critical as we age and find that we shrink.
By doing bodyweight resistance exercises your bones will get stronger, your muscles will get longer, and you will get taller. It's strengthening our postural muscles and adding density to our bones.
I've included many exercises in my Body Sculpting Bodyweight Exercises for Women program
http://www.eddiebaran.com to improve posture (and thus height). So remember this: When you age, you do have a choice. You don't have to shrink.
Best wishes,

P.S. Although you can't turn yourself into Shaquille O'Neal, you can improve posture and height to some degree, and definitely stop the aging and shrinking process by doing the right exercises for your body that are found here http://www.eddiebaran.com
