Whose Fault is It?
I once knew a woman who loved to blame everything that was
bad in her life on something or someone else. She had no
responsibility in the matter. It was always someone else's fault.
Her job was a disaster, her boss was a pure evil, her boyfriend
was a psychotic bum. She was wronged, I tell you. A victim of
circumstance.
Turns out there are many "victims" of this type. Folks who had
nothing to do with the way things are in their life. They feel like
they've been given a raw deal or the short end of the stick.
Here's the truth of the matter:
We created our own circumstances. Sure, not all of us came
into the world with everything, but we were all given more than
sufficient tools and skills to make our life good. It's entirely up
to us to change things and make them right. (I'm not talking
about the serious situations. I'm speaking about your typical person.)
So you're overweight or out of shape, or you hate your job, or
your spouse is a lazy, good-fer-nuttin. Well, what're you going
to do about it. Things aren't going to change by themselves.
You have to do it your own self. Start making things the way they
should be, the way things you want them to be.
Otherwise you're just going to get more of the same. If you need
to get stronger, leaner, fitter, then the way is here

The Spanish philosopher Jose Ortega y Gasset said "Yo soy yo
y mi circunstancia." Translation: "I am myself and my circumstances."
In other words, you create your own reality, you ARE your own
reality.
